I was wondering if anyone knew how to make a site that hosted videos and you get paid to display adsense in the video? I would like to make my own site and do this... maybe create a program to share revenue with video uploaders.
I can vouch for Metacafe. I made a little over $1K on some videos I made about 2 years ago. If your videos don't reach the minimum views, you will never get paid. But they have to be your original productions, and two things have happened. 1: They increased the views required to make the same money. 2: The competition has made it harder to get paid. Unless you have some great and unique ideas for videos, sex would be my advise. Many of the videos that earn money now are showing scantily clad women. If you're a hot chick or have access to one you could do well.
Also, Metacafe isn't getting any new funding. One of their initial big investors has sold out. Their market share isn't great. They will be dying a slow death over time.
making money off video is one of the hardest businesses on the web. even youtube cant do it. if you have some other ideas... i would exhaust them first. Good luck wither way though!
Another trick I did that worked was to make all my videos commercials. At the end, it said "please visit mywebsite.com" or something like that. It drove traffic to some of my websites, and has a long lasting effect.
Hi, you can upload the videos to one of the file-host in my signature, they pay everytime someone download your videos The trick is simple, make a screenshot of your video, post it on your sites, others will download them and you make $$$

It is very hard to make money from videos but i know Metacafe works.The only other thing i can suggest is using things like you tube to place links to other paying sites that you may own.but obviously you tube don't pay.
