    Hi,

Do you use car stickers? posters? telling friends about your site?
What offline promotion technique you use?

    Thanks

I haven't done any offline promotion yet, but have thought about it.

I don't think I would go the sticker or poster route, just because I think there's better ways to get more targeted traffic. I think those ways might be to much of a "throw away-able" things, people may not really pay attention to them.

I would advertise in newspapers, and places where my target market hangs out.
If they go to a particular kind of store, I would contact that store owner and maybe advertise there or maybe do posters there that the customers can take.

Streaking with your website name tattooed on your butt at major public events like the Superbowl or maybe the Olympics is always a good method ;)

Car stickers is a good way. Community bulletin boards, business cards are some more ideas.

Hore some girls, have them stand at the corner of a busy street with your company t-shirt on:)

    • Contests (pick of something that is good cause and/or relate to your targeted clients, contest for best car sticker will do).
    • Speak in public. Pick a topic that will be interested to one of your sponsors (or potential advertisers) and do in thier space.
    • Organize some interesting event like house remodeling showcase we did with a contractor.
    • It's summer! See if you can come up with outdoor event.
    • Think who has access to many of your potential clients already. Join their organization. Do something for them or with them. How about helping them get new clients from web (your ad of course everywhere you get email of the new sign up).
    • Organize few businesses/websites interesting for your users to have a discount club. Share each other lists and/or piggy back promotions and e-zines.

And by all means do give everyone car stickers (make them something people want to stick). Make a good calendar, look overseas for unusual ideas and good prices.

I am considering paying a graffiti artist to spray paint one of my sites on an overpass on I-4 or I-75...

The domain is private but I wonder to what extent, if any, law enforcement would investigate.

depends on your budget really, but how about printing your logo/url onto something useful for the office, ie mousemat or pen and then given away as freebies? I'm sure eventually someone will think 'I need xxx, hmm I'll try these!'
