some ideas: - video marketing; put a video on video sharing sites: youtube; vimeo; metacafe; - put your sites on aboutus.org for example, or sites like this. - But most important thing is; what is your target market? What are their needs/problems? If you have the solution to those on your site, people will come. - post on forums that are about the subject of your site
Try network marketing. Use sites such as myspace and facebook in conjunction with youtube to gain a network of people who want to be involved. Uhhh, he was asking how do YOU do marketing. I put ads in other webmaasters' sites, use business cards, and try to get word of mouth going. But mostly it is advertising. Not to sound like a stuck record, but if you want to make money, you are going to have to spend it.
Yes it takes money to make money but there are many ways to market your site for free including social networking, business cards, strong keyword seo etc. If you are selling a product or service make sure you go the extra mile for your customers and in turn they will tell their friends and family about the great service they recieved from you. If you have a marketing budget try google adwords and yahoo sponsored search as well as banner ads on relevant websites that cater to your sites demographic. Make sure you brainstorm and create a marketing action plan that covers all aspects of your marketing stategy. This will outline the steps you need to take to reach your marketing goals. Good Luck!
My primary marketing technique is videos. Over the past 20 - 21 months I have uploaded over 300 of my own home made videos to youtube. This sends my sites a steady stream of targeted traffic.

write articles, and publish, linking back to your site use blog go to forums, post use Twitter go to Facebook use stumbleupon, digg, delicious, etc. the key is: Content. these are what i do and hope they are useful.
