How do you do Internet Marketing?

Im curious what kind of comunity DP really is, cause ive noticeda lot of my questions dont get answers very easily.

I know alot (most) of you guys own your own websites.

Does anyone NOT own a website and do internet marketing? aka article writing? any other methods? id like to know what kind of responces i can get while im building up to get my own sites.


also: if you dont mind me asking, do you guys that DO own websites, sell affiliate products, adsense, or your own products (or whatever)

just curious.

 

Huh? Of course, DP has readers and posters from virtually every area of the digital economy.

 

I primarily do article marketing. It works well for consistent traffic. It really doesn't send a huge boat load, but it is quite consistent which is nice.

 

Internet marketing requires lots of reading, dig through all the posts here and you'll find whatever you're looking for.

The DP community is pretty wide. There are discussions on here with people that own their own websites, and just within that demographic there are loads of different sites like MFAs, arcades, videos, file downloads, directories, forums and lots more. There are people that buy and sell domains, people that sell their content services and people selling traffic/advertising.

I understand what you mean about finding good information on here because the signal to noise ratio can be high. That said I think you will do best by reading and learning what sounds like junk advice so that you can separate the wheat from the chaff.

 

If you want to make money on the web you have to have 3 main things.

1. A website
2. A auto responder or follow up system
3. A sales page

If you just write articles and send people to an affiliate site that isn't even yours your wasting your time and you are losing out on a ton of money. Sure you'll make sales, but in the long run you'll lose more then you make.

I started off writing articles, and using SEO to get my blog ranked for my main keywords.

After I had enough money I moved on to PPC, and email marketing.

On all of my websites I own I promote affiliate products BIG ones not these little $47 ones, but I first collect leads so I can make a number of sales off one person over time.

One day I hope to make my own product or even better my own membership site and have other people do the grunt work for me while I collect the money

 

everyone seems to think im asking for advise, im not, the above statement is exactly waht responces im looking for

i just thought itd be fun for people to say what kind of marketing they do
