Hello, How do you define Unique Content, Duplicate Content and Original Content? I assume that: If we write something which can't be found elsewhere on the Internet then it's ORIGINAL CONTENT (that is sharing our own ideas so that it can't be found elsewhere unless someone copy us). [e.g http://www.seomoz.org/blog/] If we copy and paste from another website (word by word) then it's DUPLICATE CONTENT? If we re-write another article is that classified as UNIQUE or PLAGIARISM? (as the content will be plagiarism free according to Copyscape) If we re-write another article adding our own ideas then can it be called UNIQUE or is it still be classified as PLAGIARISM? If we write an already existing TITLE OR TOPIC by researching (by referring many articles, wiki, data, videos etc.) then is that UNIQUE or ORIGINAL? Reminding you a quote: - Minterest
In my opinion, I think that original and unique articles are the same, and they are the most useful ones when doing SEO. Duplicate articles have much less influence than the former two, and if you duplicate others' articles, you have to indicate the sources, or it is illegal.
No. I think Original and Unique are different. If it passes Copyscape then its classified as unique but that doesn't mean that it's original. If you write an article on "How To Install Windows XP" by yourself in your words from your experience then can it be called Original as there are tons of articles which covers the same topic? Or is it classified as UNIQUE as you havent copied anything from another site? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
CopyScape Pro is very cheap, around 5 cents I think - per article. So try that, to confirm the originality of the article.
For me does not matter a about the definition. Importantly, when pass of Copyscape, it is good for the search engines. Just its.
