    I just did this too my site, it is quite easy to do...

    Frist make your 16x16 mini icon upload to your main directory, name it favicon.ico

    in your main index above the <head> place the this

    <LINK REL="icon" HREF="http://www. your ural to icon/favicon.ico" TYPE="image/ico">

    <LINK REL="SHORTCUT ICON" HREF="http:// www. your ural to icon . com /favicon.ico">

    And that is it your done.... but you need to rename it your image before you up load it.

    Thanks

    Depending on your webhost, you may not need to actually insert any code into your documents in order to create the icon. I have only tried it with Bluehost, but on some hosts you can just upload an icon after naming it favicon.ico.

    As I say it might depend on your host, but if you can do it, it'd be slightly easier than having to create extra HTML.

    Cheers

    of course you have to be careful when offering this 'feature' to a client - IE does NOT support favicons 100%...
