    I'm guessing you mean copyright. This technically belongs in the LEGAL section.

    However, you can learn more by visiting copyright.gov.

    If you make it and put it on the web, you own the copyright. Check out the official government site on copyright for other measures you can take and learn what your rights are/are not.

    Whenever you make a piece of work, you automatically own the copyright to it. By taking an extra step by registering it, you have an additional way to prove your ownership. US Copyright Office offers registraion for $35 (online filing), but check your local copyright office - it might cost less.
