hi everyone, just signed up to the forum and am learning loads already. i plan to start marketing gifts,gadgets & toys on my website but im not sure how to conduct market research. in other words i want to find out whats hot and whats not. someone suggested subscribing to the ebay market research tool which costs $10 per month. has anybody on here used it? is it worth the money? id like to know how you conduct market research for your niche opinions/suggestions welcome cheers alan
I would start by just researching whatever your niche is. Research absolutely everything and anything that has to do with it. Gaining general knowledge for the market is half the battle. You can subscribe to market research tools but I think most provide you with information you can find out on your own with just a few more clicks. One good way is to visit forums that are related to your niche, here you can get honest feedback from people who are involved on both the buy and sell side of your products
The ebay tools are free for everyone to use, last time I checked. However since yesterday when I picked up Chris Rempel's Reverse Niche Selection, that's DEFINITELY what I'll be doing.
