Most of the time I do my own coding but for designing purpose I need to take other designers' help and many times I feels that it gets really difficult to explain the site design even after spending countless hours on yahoo messenger. I uses MS word to give the description and requirement of the sites and uses MS Paint to show (the rough design) how will it look. Is there any good alternative for this primitive approach of mine ? How to you do this ? Regards
i agree it is hard, find a designer that can read you that is the key. I am in the design biz and thats what i try to do is get into the clients head about what he wants
I usually just paste parts of other sites together to get a general layout idea, then give them a color scheme.
I found tons of desingers that need direction. I highlight the best of from other sites and say make it happen!
I always specifiy that high level of spoken english is essential, I hate it when I need to work with a russian who despite his best intentions, just cannot speak english very well. ..... Just realised that wasnt on topic of your thread. but nevermind
you need to give some hint of similar work or a site which you looking for, that mite help the designer a lot, if you want something unique then make points to every feature you want in the code , ull have to think a lot, probably u can hire a person to do that as well, u speak he writes tht makes it easy.
1 answer- Camtasia Studio!! I work with people in the philippines and this software is a life saver. Create the video, go through the sites that you would use as examples, record the audio as if they were sitting beside you and boom, within 5-10 min. its done. IM is only used to clarify.
