How Do You Change Youtube Videos?

I know that if you download youtube videos they will be in .flv form. So if you want to re-upload the videos do you need to change them to .wmv or what?

I think if you upload in .flv you will not get any views. I uploaded some VERY popular videos and only got like 5-10 videos while another guy with the same tags, title, etc. has 50,000 PLUS in a day's time.

The reason for this would be to try and copy and upload popular videos with better tags etc. so that you can get some of the traffic.

Anyone know what platform you would have to change the .flv to in order to get some serious views?

No no, flv is the format they are in, so uploading it in flv is better for quality because they don't need to re-encode it. Sometimes if you upload a wmv you'll lose quality and even audio sync.

If you are just reuploading other videos, the original ones appear higher in the youtube search, and people tend to watch the versions with the most hits already.

Actually I don't think you can upload a video to youtube in .flv. I think I tried that and they didnt accept it because they tried to convert it but it was already in flv. Besides if they take an FLV and reconvert it to FLV they are going to seriously diminish the quality of the video. There are a lot of video converters out there though, just do a search in google.
