How do you change your keyword ranking for incorrect spellings?

I am currently receiving an occasional hit for the term farming tools and accesories while the correct term should be farming tools and accessories. There should be an extra "S" in accessories.

I currently use wordpress as my blogging platform and use SEO titles for the articles. the problem is the search engines are giving me traffic for the incorrect spellings for the terms. I looked and found the incorrect words in the articles but there has not been any change in the searches.

Any tips on how I can get indexed for the correct terms so I can work to build a proper ranking for the correct terms.

Just as it takes time to get into SERPs, it takes time to get out of them. As the cache of SEs refresh, the SEs will realize that the misspelled word is no longer there.

However, it is much easier to get ranked for misspellings, so there is no guarantee that you will achieve the same kind of rankings for the corrected words.

Ok first... hmmm not really sure why you want to de-rank for a misspelling.

What is wrong with the traffic coming from the misspelled keywords? I target misspellings alot of the time when i find them... i will even create new pages with the wrong spellings when i see them to get the traffic. Its a-lot easier to rank for them and if enough people misspell a term (they are looking for the same thing) its worth it.

Anytime i find a term that i can rank well easily i work to improve even the misspellings ranks. The traffic is looking for the same thing as the correct spellings.

I assumed even though I am writing content with correct content the serps still see me for the misspelling. There is next to no traffic for the misspelling so deranking for it will not hurt.
