When you have a blog that's fairly well established in it's niche, how do YOU go about promoting it to tap into a wider audience? It's sort of a problem I've been experiencing on projects of my own. I've generated decent traffic from various sources (blogs, search results, even some minimal social networking) for a blog of mine, but the site seems like it's having a tough time reaching out to a wider audience. When you have trouble finding more visitors from the usual sources of traffic, how do you go about promoting your blog to a wider audience (that's still targeted)? Can't wait to see how people respond to this one
Well you should consider guest posting in the other blogs of your niche. Your guest post will be served to a entirely new readers. If you post a top class guest post on one of the bigger blogs of your niche then you will see some serious traffic coming.
Depends on the niche, but most niches will have a few forums dedicated to the specific subject - that could be a way to go. I am also seeing a lot of YouTube marketting if this is a possible venue for your niche.
Guest posting seems like a really great way to spread out your influence and attract new readers — do you notice much success when you write guest posts? That's interesting. I certainly haven't seen much of YouTube marketing in my Blog's niche, but it sounds like it could work for some. I've found some success through marketing on forums — but I don't really consider it marketing so much as being helpful, and having folks learn more about you as a result.
