How do You Arrange Exchanged Links?

First I have a quick question, if I have a review site which simply reviews products in a niche, will authority website owners in that same niche be willing to link to me? I don't know that my content is especially unique, it's mostly sales driven, so what do I do?

So I know that I should contact other website owners in my field, if they agree to a link exchange, where would you recommend putting a link to their site? Could I just have a designated link section? I've heard that's not ideal, any truth to this?

Well, if your site gets considerable traffic you could find some authority sites which sell products in your niche, review their service and ask the website owners to put a backlink to your site in exchange. You will lose part of the visits, but strong links will boost your SERP and thus will push your traffic further.

As far as your question about where to put links to your link partners, if you have just several very quality link trades, putting links on your homepage wouldn't hurt IMHO. But don't rely on link exchange as the only link building method.

It should be a mutual arrangement. Approach sites that are related to your niche, but NOT your direct competitor. Make a resource or link page for that.

It's also a good idea to ask for link exchange to bloggers. They are more open about the idea.

And just make sure that you site is 100% up to par. We all get requests for link exchanges all the time, and I don't even respond to badly designed sites, poor grammar, MFA's, sites that link to illegal downloads, sites with copied content or auto blogs, or free hosted blogs.
That is just a preference of mine, but anyone who has a successful site, and already has PR and traffic, will feel the same way.

Also make sure you keep your word. The biggest reason that I don't do link exchanges anymore is because a lot of people will take your link down after a week or two and hope you don't notice.

You should search related websites and send them link exchange proposal, I don't think that they will remove your link after one week or month.... searching links have quality. It’s good for traffic and ranking...

If you don't want to make links by online friends... then you can use other way for get back links... as article submission, directory submission and social sites are also good way for back links...

    Cheers!
