I have made my webpages all myself so far which takes alot of time and effort since I am relativly new at it. I see these offers (mostly on clickbank) of websites you can purchase that are all adsense ready... some of them are offering over 100 different sites (1000's of pages) with rss feeds in each page so the content varies. Is this how people make sites? For those of you making decent money how many websites and pages do you have? do you concentrate on one site and something you love or do you have tons of pages and sites with all different types and themes? Personally right now I am building a network of profitable generic websites without going into my main idea which I will hope be extremely viral and profitable. Althought my sites are generic in their concept at this point, I still try to stay away from ready to go turn key sites.
I have many sites on different topics each give some money to me. I usually create one to two new sites every year.
I don't think it's so much how many sites a person has, but how much overall traffic they're getting. For instance, if you can build a single high-quality website which generates a lot of traffic then I think you can make good money with Adsense (even though you only have one site). Or you can take your chances and try to build hundreds (or thousands) of low-quality sites which may only get 1-2 visitors per day. I think it's best to spend your time building a few high-quality sites and not waste your time on these low-quality adsense ready packages.
Anything worthwhile usually does take time and effort. My advice would be to experiment and keep a close eye on your stats. T
I run a network of websites, on various topics but all of them are topics that I'm interested in. Not to many of them though, some don't need to much site management while some others do. Lately, I pay a lot of attention to the difference between websites and The Websites, so my efforts are more oriented towards managing my Websites.
i am in the process of building ONE good site. put all my effort into it. and then once this done and making money, and can then starting another one.
wrong choice in my opinion. it might take a while and when you wait = you loose time, you loose time = you loose money.
