I was thinking of advertising with Google but don't want to spend $.50 or $1.00 per click. What's the cheapest way to go?

If you make a good analysis, you may find keywords (and keyword combinations) in your field that are cheaper and sometimes even more targeting to your product.
Just play in a very small niche for the beggining and you can find some piece of market left untouched.

You need to focus on long tailed keywords. They are not as expensive and can bring you highly targeted visitors.

the best advise is to ask a mod to move it to the adwords forum.there is more people there that know this stuff.

anyway,it is the quality score and who/how many advertisers are bidding on the same keyword that plays a big part on how much you pay on adwords search.

i haven't used adwords in a little while.i guess the min. bid has jump up.
i was paying an ave. of 6 cents a click on one site with only search and i'm far from being an expert.

It depends upon the niche area you are targeting. Make a keyword research in terms of competition.
