How do you advertise using forums?

Hi,

I'm just wondering if I'm going about this forum advertising correctly, I've chosen two forums with quite a bit of traffic and I intend to stick to those and ask plenty of questions.

Do you think that is the best way or is joining lots of different forums better?

I think this is better because more people will see it.
Well many people will see it in the popular forums, but with more forums ( you can try different types of forums ), more different types of people will see it ( young, old, profi, noobs... )

I think that way you will have more interest...

I would suggest you to join only those forums where lot of traffic like DP,v7n..etc ,, And buy link or avatar there,, Go for signature link rather then avatar because it'll be more effective then avatar becaue ( also helpful in seo to build your site link )


OR You can ask a review about your site in reviews section becasue that is the only section that you can put your link directly..

 

Giving signature links all over will not help a lot

 

Signature links are good but it's always good to use different methods to show up ur links.Different forums also have advertising sections which can be handy in promoting the site.

 

I spread them in various forums so I can reach a wider audience.

 

threads don't always last very long for this reason, its best to focus on a couple popular forums as previously mentioned. And be an active member of these forums and post regularly. Posting one or two post to 100 forums, wont get you anywhere, once the thread is dead, so is your link.

 

I only use two forums and stick to them, you can keep better track of how your links are doing.

 

Stick to only a couple forums and become a voice of authority there.

I would prefer to concentrate on certain forums which are considered as authority even by google like our own dp forum. It pays to be active here both on knowledge and monetary basis.

 

It's very interesting to see it's an almost 50/50 split in peoples opinion, just shows that different things work for different people I guess

 

Use links in sign ... that;s the only one ...

 

I would say join a forum because of your interests, not becasue it will give your link more exposure. People think that signature links are great exposure. They won't get you rich but they bring in pocket change thats all..

 

I spread my link in the signature of loads of forums, focusing more on posting at higher traffic sites. Similar topic forums work well..i don't really get that much clickthrough from sig links anyway.

 

I spread it across a few related forums, and start posting.

 

The main thing that makes signature links effective, is ACTIVELY posting. If you are not active in all of the forums its really pointless.
