How do you add a seo freidnly blog into a site?

I love wordpress! It has all of those GREAT seo addons BUT I'm making a software/game company site and I want the blog still (so I can have a blog feed)
but I want it as SITE.com/blog and I want it so that it fits into my site (like I do not want to rid of my banner or my website layout I just want basically the blog without the blog style layout just the posts and the feed and the nice seo friendly addons)

Also I want the posts on my blog to be posted in a "news" like part on my main page is there anyway to do this without google claiming it as or hurting my seo score for duplicate content? Like I would like the last 3 posts to be displayed under my news header but I'm afraid I will be processed as duplicate content and I can't not have google crawl my main page lol. And I do not want the blog on my main page either.

I hope someone understands me and I'm open to any advice.

    thanks

okay then, it depends on your layout, but what will work on most cases is:
change your header.php file to the same header on your website, and use a container to include all your files.

if you want to pull some posts into your homepage, you would gave to get alittle familier with the loop.

If I follow you all you need to do is install wordpress in its own folder called blog one level deep in your directory to wind up with site.com/blog

Pulling data onto the homepage is a piece of cake.

Ok I guess than my question would be... will it hurt me SEO wise if I have my recent blog posts also posted on my main page (like under a new header?)

also what is the best way to get this and also link to my blog when people click on the news?
    just full using an rssfeed?

If you don't want the blog to be indexed at all, but only want the posts to be credited as content on your website, then disallow indexing.

That way your blog will not be indexed into Google or yahoo, but when it shows up as content on your website it will be.

Maybe you can no follow the pages to the blog, but link back to your home with a follow, - I think this will help with your weight concerns - maybe?

    Those are good idea's

Would it really hurt much to "repost" a few blog posts on the home page?

i am expecting the 3 posts will be in summary format and hence not the complete article therefore on the blog page you will have the full which will be significantly different to the summary, therefore no duplicate content
