Hey guys, New in the seo field. So I'm trying to seo my website and I already picked the keywords that I want to be ranked. Now I want to know, how do you actually get ranked for the specific keywords you picked. Say you pick "yellow ice cream" as the keyword, How do you get ranked for that. Is it due to backlinks with anchor text yellow ice cream or what ? I have been ranked for other keywords on google that I never even really worked on too and don't know what really happened there too.
first yuo do proper on-page optimization and then build backlinks with your anchor text. thats all about it, no secret.
First the keyword in website should have greater density, it must be bold, it should be marked as heading (h1). Google would focus on that. Secondly backlinks, more backlinks more better rank.
It's all about backlinks, but your site, and the pages that the backlinks point to also need to be relevant and properly formatted to see the best results. For example if your anchor text is "yellow ice cream" the page that the link points to should have reference to yellow ice cream and be relevant to that topic in some way.
Hi, You need to work on both verticals on-page as well as off-page.Link building will no doubt play an important role.Given below are the tips for both. For On-page optimization: -Meta description -Meta tags -URL structure -Image optimization -Keyword density -Body tags (H1,H2,H3 headers) -Internal linking. For Off-page optimization -Article submission -Blog Posts -Blog Commenting -Social bookmarking and social media -Directory submission -Forum postings
You need backlinks which link to your site with the exact word/s you want to rank for (anchor text) - its not only the amount of links but the authority of the page your link is on that matters. also the link needs to look natural eg has a different description alongside each time (thats why bulk link services DO NOT WORK because they don't put the effort in to make the link look like a genuine 'vote')
Gary Richards explained very well! The Keyword which you want to get ranking, Just place it in title, description, Alt tag, Content & Navigation of the page. Target different keywords for each page and after that start Off page submission for that particular keyword. You will definitely get ranking for your all keywords.
You need both on page SEO and off-page SEO. To do on page you need unique content targeting your kewords. Meta title and meta tags specific to your keywords. Constant unique content. Offpage, I do the following - Content creation - Article Submission - Social Media Submission - Contextual Backlinking in private and member only blog networks. - Social media bookmarking - link wheel link building I try to follow that same order and slowly build over 4-6 weeks so it looks like a natural progression.
Optimize your website in a better way in accordance to the keyword that you have aimed. (related to your service/products).
