How do we know if Affiliate sales have been made?

    I want to know if there is some sort of system that can be used to gauge whether affiliate sales are being paid for every single sale made through an affiliate link.

    How do I know whether a company is ripping of it's affiliates? Any system?

    I know I can protect affiliate links, Ninja Link Cloaker in my signature box does that for me effectively, but I want to know if there is a way to see if sales are made when a clickthrough is made with my affiliate links.
