How do we check links of webpages?

Is it not link:domain.com in Google? But in my case I couldn't find any links to the page I am checking or is the syntax wrong? Besides when I wanted to check back links of some pages, some free services give me links of the domain and not links of the sub page say like moneyharvest.wikidot.com. When inquirying for this page it gives me links of the domain wikidot.com . To paraphrase my question A. is link:domain.com/page wright to check links in Google? B. What free service should I use to check back links? THX.

It gives different results wether you use space or not between the link: and your domain name. Is both ways correct ?

    link:mydomain.com
    link: mydomain.com

I use the yahoo site explorer tool. If you use the addon SEOQUAKE then you can visit the site and click on the addon to see.
