To check if our website is seo friendly Turn off JavaScript, CSS, and Cookies in the web browser and view the website. This is how search engines most likely see our website. If we successfully view our website and navigate our website then our site is mostly search engine friendly. The only other process is to check our URL’s Not using a session ID or 'id=' in our query strings is also very helpful.

By fully understanding the process of SEO we should be able to look at a page and determine if it is optimised.

It would be fair to say pages that rank well for competitive terms are better optimised than pages that don't

You may also want to try installing SEOQuake in your browser. Its a very handy tool that diagnoses your website in an instant.
