How do those pagerank predictors work?

    Just wondering how they work, they can't possible be going by what google shows for backlinks. Do they search to see how many times the url shows up on pages or something?

    They usually use other links base, like MSN or Y. And they don't work properly, don't waste Your time :)

    Hmm some have been known to give good predictions. One especially is http://www.iwebtool.com/pagerank_prediction.

    They take information from servers like google toolbars server then average it and so on. I dont know exactly but i know its not just a random number generator.

    In my view what i have seen is that they are 90% perfect tools.
