That's a car configure and it's something quite difficult to make . BMW is using both ASP .NET in combination with over 30 JavaScript files , although the generator probably doesn't use more then several hundred lines of JavaScript it might be written using C# or VB in combination with ASP .NET .

The advice is simple if you want to build something like this you'll need to spend a month learning to code and then coding this thing . You also need to pick your set of tech PHP/MySQL/AJAX(Flash) , Ruby/SQL/SaaS/AJAX(Flash) or ASP. NET/C#(VB)/MSSQL/AJAX(SilverLight,Flash) .

It uses ASP.NET (possibly VB or C#) as well as a large amount of Flash & Javascript. Not simple stuff. It would take more than a month to learn how to make this.
