This is bugging me for a while now and since i couldn't find anythings related to it, i thought may be some one can help me with it. - When i search for a domain name "abcd.com" (the site is new) then i see that google SERPS are the following: www.quantcast.com/abcd.com or www.sitelogr.com/abcd.com How do they do that?? Thanks
Those are authority sites with high PR and highly respected by Google - there must be a lot of anchor text with that search term linking to those sites. That's why. Same reason why Adobe Acrobat ranks number one when you search "click here" - there are millions of sites with the anchor text "click here" that links to Adbobe Acrobat.
I really dont think this is case since i have seen some PR2/3 websites (besides quantcast or sitelogr, alexa etc)pulling out stats for older webstes I agree
this type of tool get your website information and you search in that boc after that site admin create your site info page and get ranking in SERP
Do you mean quantcast and sitelogr entries appear before the site itself is indexed? It's because they've crawled the site before Google has, but Google has crawled those pages of the site, so the result that Google returns is the closest match that it has in it's database.
