I don't know, to me the amount of $ made is my only real measure of success,

a dollars made spamming the engines == dollar made branding or whatever

in order to create a brand you have to acutally sell stuff and actually interact with people don't you?

or fake it off a little, it's a lot harder to brand something with other webmasters than the general public IMO. If they know what you stand for and then come back to revisit you, you've branded yourself with those for whatever it is that is on your site that they like.

Exactly. That's why I'd be surprised if they used one AS account for all sites. People get discontinued from AS all the time even when their methods are above board.

I'd imagine that any serious BH will have multiple companies to filter the AS monies through. If for no other reason than they wouldn't want to draw attention to themselves by earning too much through one account.

I don't think people get removed from Adsense that much for having crap sites, maybe ones that tell people to click the ads

ferret77, I agree. But I'd imagine that if you're running BH type sites that you wouldn't want too much attention.

    Auto building
works well with spelling errors. If you can somehow generate pages with common spelling errors in the tiles tag you cen get good traffic with MSN. Otherwise it is unlikely anyone will find your pages. Mesothelioma on page 48 isnt very useful. But a common spelling error can get you a top ranking. easily with less traffic.

It's the highest paying keyword out there. Lawyer sites pay big bucks for this keyword through PPC.

I don't know if that is true any more... Seems like more of a myth than anything else especially now.

Put up a meso site now and you will get very low payouts per click.

    Exactly. It's been exploited.

Plus, I seriously doubt that Google is going to let their $50/click advertisers be placed just anywhere. They probably make sure the site is legit and will have a very likely chance of converting.

agree with you ,bringing traffic is not equal to click, the visitor clicks the ads y their own ,no one can force them to click

Its really quite easy to get a BH site listed.
You create 10k page site with a content generator, set up a blog on the same domain or even use blogger. Use another script which auto-posts to the blog and pings at the same time. Search engines pick up the site from various ping sites. (technorati etc)

Good money can be made (30k per month etc) if you devote enough time to it and churn the sites out each day.
Personally I prefer to build nice WH sites which will be around in 5 years time, I can see the attractions though.

I'd like to ask a question that was already asked but not answered:

Can someone post an example to one of these BH sites? You don't have to claim responsibility/ownership or anything. It sounds like you can find one easily if you type in a 5-6 word search, but I wouldn't know one if I saw one.

Ah, Greenway, now you're talking. An array of sites that automatically 'grow' as user interest increases, and on par with popular search phraseology. Perhaps also extraction of phrases from relevant news/forum posts/feeds, and voilla - single word competition, who needs it (or has the time).

I think that's quite an interesting take. :)

    Cheers,

    JL

I had five reds once...seems like alot of new posters get one red and they either get green or stay red. Kinda like DP hazing.

Someone wrote that adsense accounts never get banned, only domains. That's not correct. You can get your account banned :)

I've always thought of these as "spur of the moment" sites, that popup and disappear as fast as they came
