How do some people hide the "Ads by Google"?

I'm curious how do some sites hide the "Ads by Google."

I've seen a number of sites that have Google ads, but their ad units do not have the "Ads by Google" notice.

A popular blog seems to have the Google ads like this....However, I doubt the blogger is a Premium Publisher...so I wonder how they do it.

You can't hide the "Ads by Google" text. It must be some kind of hack to remove it but if you insist on doing that, it will be against the Adsense's TOS which can get your account banned. I think they already mentioned that clearly.

    No guys...

It looks like even my ads do not have the "Ads by Google."

Take a closer look at the Adsense units here on DP...I know we are Ad blind here but...

They too are missing the "Ads by Google"!!!

    Those with the 728 x 90 units...

I think Google is experimenting with this new feature!

Go into the settings and you can choose whether or not the "Advertise here" is displayed or not.

Google may or may not show other text as they are doing testing.

Text ads will always have the Ads by Google on them, even for premium publisher they must have it on.

There are few exceptions like: image ads, search and domain farms.

I was checking out some relevant keywords in various search engines last night & noticed one of my AdWords ads on ask.com -- several impressions & always without the "Ads by Google". This was a simple text & link ad, tends to appear by itself with search results or in panels with several other ads.

Every publisher has to have the ads by google part, show me a site that doesnt please.

Your wrong. DP has the ads by google on every ad, show me a screenshot if you can please.

Im gonna guess all of this is just a server thing....:)

Exactly correct. Somebody is grabbing the Google ads from the javascript and reformatting them to look like something else. This is against the Adsense TOS, however, most of the people who do it are graphic designer types who are trying to make their ads look pretty. Another reason somebody might do it is so that there is no link for a visitor to report TOS violations to Google through the ad.

    they are premium publishers ;)

If you have 20+ million page views per month, or 5 million searches you qualify for the Premium Publisher program from Google AdSense. ( some of these requirements are lowered for some languages and/or countries)

see myspace.com for example they get the ability to change few features like removing
    1)ads by google
2)opening clicked ad links in new window ;)

They don't violate the terms but they are preferred publishers for which you need to have 10 million ad views per month. Check out the site moneycontrol.com which has No Ads By Google

I don't think with simple idea we can do, but premium members can do it simply as google permit them...And with CSS i don't think it can be hide coz it's image. As well, they will get thir account terminated very soon.

And one way to hide it is through table.Through WYSIWYG editor.Just you can simply drag the table and overlap the bottom of the adsense with the content (I mean table without border)
