How do shared hosting work?

    If the content of 'about' folder is same in both , then yes it will display the same content but the link which you will browse will be different.
    For eg :- If the content in about folder is "this is a test page" and if you add the same in both the subdomain ie about.yourdomain.com and about.yourdomain.net then the content displayed will the same. But the links that you will browse will be different ie it will be http://about.yourdomain.com and http://about.yourdomain.net
