I have heard the same, but he'll only have hired PR agent when the site was already a partial success, and not from the very start.
If he paid 6K form the start that wold have been a huge gamble. Once success is in the bag then you can keep spending to get...um ..more success.
Yeah i seen that guy on tv that made a million dollars. Who would have know a pixel could be worth so much.
Now there is a new one. Pixmeup. anyone tried it yet?? I tried to sign up but they have closed for sign ups at the moment
To answer the initial question, most of the traffic to my website comes from forums, news sites and advertising. Yes I have used and still use Adwords to get 80-100 additional visitors. I also bought a few links here and there. And of course I don't miss a link on free websites. But 80% of the traffic (5,000 visitors yesterday) is from forums and news sites.
Guys, I believe I found a way to recreate Alex success Check this thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=51525 Hope you all be with me
I know most of you will say, "Duh!" ... but websites are online real estate. You sub-divide your property into small lots and rent/lease them out. Simple. The challenge is getting people to atleast come to the open house. I just love these challenges. With all the publicity the MillionDollarHomePage has gotten worldwide, wouldn't you wish you spent that extra $100 on a little square avatar. Well its too late because the last pixel was sold on eBay for US $38,100.00. Yes! thats 38 $1,000 and $100. So do you think you're chances of having a piece of the pie is over?. Well guess what. If you really think about it, those little squares leads somewhere and that somewhere is to a website. Now, the question is, can you link to that website?. Well only you can find out by clicking on all of those little squares and checking. Now do you see the whole picture. You are piggy-back riding on someone elses fortune for free. Can you hear me now?
