I am trying to earn money from my PHP skills. I have tried many ways like selling on Codester and creating a gig on Fiverr. I also have developed my own website and tried to sell a couple on Flippa, but I haven't made a lot of money.

How do you guys make money as PHP developers?

I love building websites from scratch. I am very good with HTML, CSS, JS, PHP and MySQL.

I want to show you some of my work and you can tell me if I am good enough for the market ...
Here is my portfolio on CodeGrape: https://www.codegrape.com/user/FarrisFahad/portfolio

I also tried Fiverr but no one was interested. I feel like to make any money in this industry you need to be very good, like extremely good.

Can you share your experience and tell me how you are making money?

    Thanks,
    Farris

    By getting a job!

As a freelancer I was lucky and got a handful of good, long term clients but the sales part sucks and I'd rather have someone else do it for me.

Not yet. I started though. I am not sure if my quality of work will get me a job.

How long did it take you to land your first client?

I knew all my clients before I went freelancing so that helped. I never would have survived the sales process.

It's definitely worth a try. Just be patient, as it might take some time to get your first job.
Once you build your portfolio, you can also try cold emailing and reaching out to established web designers and web developers to explore potential collaborations for times when they need some extra support.

I recommend networking with other developers and joining online communities to gain more exposure. Consider creating a portfolio website to showcase your skills and projects. Stay persistent and improve your skills to attract more clients and opportunities. Good luck!
