how do people claim such high uniques?

    when their alexa is nothing like what they say?

    i see people saying they get like 4k uniques a day with an alexa of 250k
    awstats says i get like 4k a month unique visitors and im like 130k alexa.
    do they mean some other stat?

    my busiest site has my worst ALEXA. :)

    although i don't mind ALEXA and their efforts, it seems to be easily manipulated.

    but are they counting hits and not actually unique visitors?
