What kind of statistics are you talking about Sandra?

If it's website stats I use:
    Google Analytics (doesn't everybody?)
    Market Samruai
    Traffic Travis (free version)
    Woopra
    Alexa
    Quantcast

I would generally start with Quantcast for the kind of information your website is targeting.

Quantcast and Alexa are two good places to start if you are looking for traffic and demographic stats and what not. I think Quantcast requires the webmaster or blogger to put some code on their site before it can be totally accurate. Otherwise data is just estimated. If there is not enough traffic or the site not been live for every long, neither site will be able to pull in any data. Oh, I almost forgot about Google analytics, but that's standard, right. You have to sign up and put the code on your site for that to work, too.
