Hi Everyone I've just started up a new forum at www.faruki.co.uk/forum/ . The main topic is Finance & Real-Estate. Registration is free on the forum and member get access to areas where new investment oppurtunities are posted with different members & service providers. There is also a general section where you can talk about anything (Except Adult content ). I want to find out as to how do i go about promoting this forum? Regards sdevil
You can try posting on other related forums and blogs. I give a few tips in this article: Link building with Forums Once that is done, then take a moment to promote your promotions However, you may also want to look into post exchanges with blogs and other forums. This will give you the needed content for better organic traffic. Paid posts can also help, but can get costly and quality is often shakey... it's better to try getting those competent enough to actually join the forum on their own rather then paying them....but paying them to start can be a start. If you have a budget, then buy a few links from high traffic sites that are related to your theme (skip paid directories for now). You may even wish to consider something like Adwords or other mass ad campaign. Above all, you must remember that you are a MEMBER first and ADMIN second. So interact with your users and they will have a higher tendency to stick around and post.
I think you may ask some of your friends to post on it. When people come to your forum for the first time, they may lost interests if there are only several posts.
