    Hey guys,

I'm trying to verify domain owenership and I clicked the link and it tells me I need to do the following:

The domain that I own is registered with Godady. How would I go about adding this text record to it?

    Thanks!

Thanks DP. Though, it seems that Total DNS only works if you're namesevers are pointed to Godaddy and since I'm selling my forum, I want people to see what they are buying. So, I'm unable to do this. Thanks again though!

You can do it on any name server... you just have to be able to access/edit the DNS records is all.

I am trying to verify domain ownership for my domain movie1030.com, It's registered with Yahoo ,

I tried but it simply will not work, I paste "digitalpoint-site-verify:b77590db146e87156f778a692dd3858b" and it gives me this message.

Add an A or CNAME Record

Please enter a valid host name or IP address in the "Destination" field. A host name, which looks like a domain name with a prefix (e.g., info.widgetdesigns.com), should include only letters, numbers, and hyphens, and not begin or end with a hyphen. An IP address should include 4 numbers, none greater than 256, separated by periods, e.g., 17.12.22.11.

    Change Your MX Records

Sorry, one or more of the host names you entered is formatted incorrectly. Please be sure your host names include only letters, numbers, and hyphens, and do not begin with a hyphen. Host names should look like domain names, such as mailserver.com. Use a period to delineate a subdomain, such as info.mailserver.com.

It would need to be a TXT record that you add to your DNS (not a CNAME, MX or A record).

No idea... you will want to ask the company who's name servers you use for your domain.

I've written an article on this which fully explains!

    Verify Domain Ownership on DigitalPoint

For those of you experiencing the "invalid character" issue - it's because you're not getting the 'name' and 'value' values right.. The article explains it all!

Hope it helps create a safer experience on DP!
