Are you talking about your self hosted wordpress blog, that you have on your own domain, or a wordpress.com free hosted blog?

If it is your own wordpress blog then you log in with FTP: and depending on the plugin you just upload the folder or php files to the plugin directory.

The plugin directory is located under the [wp-content] folder.

Most plugins have a readme.txt file included when you download then also.

the once you have uploaded the files go to your wp plugin under admin and activate the plugin.

FTP is the way that you access the files of your blog or website. Filezilla, or Smart FTP are very easy to use, but you need information from your host like user name, and log in.

Once you have accessed the files located on your domain, you will be able to see all the individual folders.

Well in filezilla you simply type in ftp://www.yoursite.com then enter the user name and password. Typically you go into your public_html folder on the server. Your website lives there. Your ftp client has two windows left and right. Left is your computer right is your server.

    hope that helps,
    Nigel

Yeah ftp is the best way (even if you have a host panel to upload I still prefer ftp). Its pretty simple usually you can drag the file/folder over.
