I just recently bought my own dedicated server, but I really do not know how to work with it. Could someone explain to me how I could transfer my website to my new server please.

Is the old site just page files or does it have a database included with it?

Do you have SSH access to the original hosting account for the site?

You should have a look at articles like this one: The Perfect Server (Debian Lenny). There are similar tutorials produced by Falko for lots of different Linux distributions. Running a dedicated server involves a fair amount of work, and incurs a lot of responsibility. Be prepared to spend a lot of time learning.

Use SSH or if you use a control panel, there's backup options or transfer options.
