if it doesn't matter then why do you want to change the current registrar? ;)

then you should find another registrar first then you should pay for the domain transfer fee, by that way transfer process will start ;)

    I haven't moved a .co.uk from godaddy, but I have moved a .co.uk from another registrar to 123-reg. Free transfer for .co.uk domains :).

How not helpful? It may not have been godaddy, but the process is gonna be the same, and 123-reg allows you to do it without being charged $10-$20 to transfer, which is why I chose them, and they provided steps on how to do the transfer. A few weeks later I got a letter from nominet confirming the change.

I haven't got a .co.uk domain in my godaddy account, so I cant see if there's an option to change the IPS tag manually, but on 123 reg and my previous registrar I could. If it isn't on the domain settings (where you can change nameservers etc), try: http://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/support_submit_question.asp Domain Transfer, and give them the new IPS tag which the new registrar will give you details on when you're set to transfer it.
