I want to run a PPC campaign in my local area, meaning targeting the folks in my small town. How can i figure out what folks are searching for?
Hi, go to the campain options of the campain which you're willing to focus on your local area. I hope this helps. Kind regards, sirKello
The question is...what are you trying to sell. Are you looking for information on how to target the local market for a particular product you already have in mind. Or are you looking to find out what people in your local market are looking for? let me know so I can give you a better answer
well both. im thinking i want to run a local campaign for satellite tv or cable tv, but i also would like to see what (generally speaking) folks in my town are searching for.
You won't be able to see what people in your specific town are looking for, but you can look on Google Trends to see search volume for your DMA. You will need to come up with some key phrases for your niche.
Start out by running a campaign with keywords: "Town Name" "state name" cable tv "Town Name" "state name" satellite tv and see what how it goes. I don't like geo targeting because it eliminates many people who search from a network while they are at work.
