    Okay here's my problem.
Some guy (probably a webmaster and competitor) found out my e-mail address from one of my gaming websites and started spamming the whole world with it.
This is resulting in a lot of traffic to the site and a lot of angry people accussing me of spamming.

He uses several names like , , etc.
Since i have a catch-all mail account for that site, many mails get returned from people who use spam filters (you know the 'click the link to confirm' mails), email address doesn't exist, etc. but also from angry people replying to the mails.

It's already 2 weeks like this and the guy doesn't seem to stop.
Some days i wake up, check my mail and i got 500+ return messages and angry stuff.
I don't really care about these messages (since i gave up replying to explain the situation) however, i'm more concerned about the reputation of my site :(
Is there any way i can reveal this guy's identity and report him because people like this make me sick.
If you can't do normal/honest business on the internet than walk away and get a real job!

2 years ago i had this problem with a spammer too (forum spammer) but thanks to his personal details which he filled out to register at the forum (dumb ass), i managed to track him down, spoke with his internet provider and let my lawyer send a few letters out and he stopped doing his thing.
He was from Portugal so i hope this isn't the same guy i'm dealing with but that's hard to tell this time.

    Any solution to this?
What would you do in my situation?

    Thanks in advance

    Didier

Use it to your advantage and try to convert the extra traffic. It might need some explaining but you should be able to turn them around.

Well it's not actually happy people who visit the site.
So i don't think these people will convert to customers :)
