I dont wanna disallow posting as it may hinder in posting by the non spammer posters. Is their any way i can stop this spaming on my blog.

I m recieving around 15-20 spam posts per day.

Depending on which blogging software you are using there are plugins available to prevent "comment spam".

For Blogger.com, they have provided the image verification and also you can set that only registered bloggers can comment. But registered bloggers thing does not work, as there are many registered spammers too.

I am also pissed off with those spammers... grrrr!!

I'm trialling an awesome new wordpress spam filter. It'll be great when it's up for general release.

I set mine so I have to approve comments. The extra work is worth not having lots of porn filth (and other spam) assaulting my blog.

I am using Blogger's image verification, but my blogs still get spammed.

Here's what I started doing a couple of weeks ago.

When I get comment spam, it's obviously not a bot because of the image verification. So I use the domain name that the spammer is trying to promote to find out the email address for the owner of the domain. I then send the spammer a message, like this:

    ===========================================

    message subject:

    Spamming To My Blogs

    message body:

    Hello $spammer's_name$:

I would appreciate it if you would stop spamming my blogs. Even if I
didn't delete your comments, your posts would do you no good because
Blogger adds the NOFOLLOW attribute to comment hyperlinks, so search
    engines will ignore the links.

I realize that you are just trying your best to rank well but I delete
all spam posts from my blogs. I hope you'll stop now. Thanks!

    Sincerely,

    $Me$,
    $names_of_spammed_blogs$

    ===========================================

It might seem too polite but to be perfectly honest I am not too offended by spamming. I realize that some folks who are relatively new to the 'Net honestly don't realize that in the long term, comment spamming does no one any good, especially the spammer. Besides, I've made some SEO mistakes in the (distant!) past, and I can understand why a spammer might think that his/her spamming is a good idea. I'm just interested in letting the spammer know that he/she is wasting their time, as all the comment spam on my blogs get deleted right away, and that comment spam will only serve to thwart the spammer's aspirations of ranking well.

    AmCy

FYI: the guy who was spamming my credit card blogs stopped his spamming 1 day after I sent the above email.

I've had similar problems with my blog.. Fixed it like this..

    Blogger:

    Find code in template:
    <a class="comment-link" href="<$BlogItemCommentCreate$>"<$BlogItemCommentFormOnclick$>><$BlogItemCommentCount$> comments</a>
    Code (markup):
    Replace it with:
    <a class="comment-link" href="<$BlogItemCommentCreate$>" rel="nofollow" <$BlogItemCommentFormOnclick$>><$BlogItemCommentCount$> comments</a>
    Code (markup):
Note: added the rel="nofollow" attribute, see also: http://www.google.com/webmasters/bot.html#noindextags

That means all the links and comments (like your updates) don't get indexed either. I'm not sure that's what I'd want. The actual links in blogger are normally nofollows anyway aren't they?

By the way, you have spam

With the change of code only the comment links are with nofollow tag, the other links are just plain links.

Thanks for pointing out the spam.

Unfortunately you need a wordpress api key and you only get one of those by also having a wordpress.com blog. You need to get yourself an invitation!!!
