Go to Blogger.com - Choose your favourite topic - Make it have rich content and promote it. That's all.

Best way to buy some domain for you which has the keyword of your niche. Then get WP installed on your server. Choose themes and plugins whcih you think are best for your use. I think there is nothing better than WP. Start promoting it..

Thanks everyone! I know how to promote my sight, the only thing I don't know how to do is start it. At the moment I have bought my domain name off of go daddy, and I am hosting it off of host gator. I've changed my DNS and installed wordpress from my cpanel. When I go to my website I still see the host gator advertisements. What's my next step?

Installing and configure a Wordpress blog take less than 5 minutes. I would suggest you go this way. Furthermore, there are many plugins available for Wordpress which make extending your blog functionality very easy. You also don't have to worry about moving your blog if you start on the right platform.

There are also Wordpress theme (template) which specially designed and optimized for affiliate marketer ? There are tons of it.
Really, you can't go wrong with Wordpress :)

Start with wordpress google owns blogger and they can delete your blogger blog anytime. go with wordpress.org not .com. I believe .com is the free version. With .org you have complete control over your blog that is if you have your own hosting and domain.

starting with the right platform make it easy for you manage you blog in future. It will also avoid the hassles of moving blog.
Start with self-hosted Wordpress blog is the best. It's not only user-friendly, Wordpress also has a lot of plugins to extend your blog functionalities.
Cost wise, it's very cheap. just get your domain and a ~$8 hosting, and you're set to go.

I recently wrote a couple articles about how to drive traffic to your blog. I'm not going to post the link (since I'm new and I'm not sure if that's ok) but you can click on my profile and find it my blog easily.

Start with wordpress blog. This is easy to customize according to your design and topic. For install do below :
    1. Create a FTP user in cPanel. (If you don't have, buy a hosting plan and they will provide you cPanel).
    2. Download free wordpress theme and upload to server.
    3. Rrun your website, you need to provide database information for complete installation.
    4. After completed above step, you will get username and password.
    5. Change your password in wp-admin panel.
    6. Now, your blog is ready, start your posting.

If you have knowledge of basic php you can customize your theme according to your choice. For more information you can get help from wordpress site. I hope above step will help you.

My first "Start blog experiment" was with Blogger.com / blogspot.com where I had to simply Register, make up a name, and start blogging. That was 2008 now I would do research for what "keyword" or "specific search term" people would search for in your niche in order to find your blog. Keep it unique, original and load with content. Google loves good ole content :)

    Blogspot or wordpress.

If you signed up with Godaddy, you can install wordpress in just a few clicks.

Contact your hosting provider for help on setup/installation.

Or you can use blogger, which is much easier than wordpress.
