I need to setup my own server which can host files uploaded remotely via web software.

something like my own personal rapidshare.

I have the script which i am using on a web server at the moment.

What hardware and software do i need ?

Any guides or advice would be great !!

you need good sysadmin for managing your server :)

My opinion on home servers..... Don't. It's a waste of time, home servers always have terrible lag and the upload speeds suck. Not only that, it's against the TOS of every ISP.

the ISP is fine, the company has there own pipe, and this wont be a public site either, only company admin can see the site so it would be more like a intranet system.
