How do i setup a 2nd server as Redudant at Name Registrar? Hi guys, i been at digitalpoint for a while, i know you guys here are all great IM and great IT experts. I got a issue that i been facing all along, during my sleep time, which is the peak period of my site, it will always go down like dns unable to reach, as my server is hosted in netherland. I think of buying a U.S server and set it as my 3rd and 4th nameserver , auto sync my database and files to the server and it will kick it when 1st & 2nd server not reachable. Is this good to go ? Cause i not sure how to really make its work,is it as simple as just setting it as my 3rd & 4th name server and will my visitor be routed to the 3rd & 4th name server if 1st and 2nd not working. Provided 1 is Netherland(1st & 2nd name server) & 2nd server is at U.S Thanks for all the advice & guidance. Looking forwards for someone to clear my doubts.
Well it isn't that easy, pretty much depends on your website. Name servers in one a hand, database, static content and if there is any kind of membership completely different. On what CMS or script your website is based?
