When I log in, I get this message automatically:
Site failed automatic validation as of 2005-05-21 (make sure URL and site type is correct

I have htm files. But I can't find any step by step instructions as to how to set up.

Could anyone tell me how to do this please?

    Thanks!

Did you try to hit the Setup Instructions link by the logout link?

Hmmm... Strange. I included a snapshot of my screen when I login into the coop for one of my accounts.

How are you publishing your files to the webserver? Are you using frontpage? And the ad_network file needs to be a separate file so yes notepad will do.

I am publishing my files with smart ftp.

Do I put ad_network_265.php file in the mainwebsite_html folder, where I put all my htm files?

    Thanks!

Leave the htm files where they are and ad the .php file in the same folder. Set up the htaccess file for php parsing and make sure the passthru footer works as well.

If this all is way over your head see my sig for the FAQ and professional help.

    Hi tops30

I read the FAQ, but I don't know if the server supports mod_rewrite and php.......what is mod_rewrite?

I don't know what a footer is either, or what parsing means...............lol!!

I am putting those 3 files in the mainwebsite_html folder.

Then look in the FAQ for the Professional help I guess. The HTML installation isn't the easiest of all and if you don't know what those things are you'll have a busy week ahead if yuo want to get it done single handedly.

You'll have to find out whether your server is Apache or ISS. Then we'll know whether the rewrite is possible (if I even understand it correctly). If not, end of story unless you look at the even more exotic (and officially unsupported) versions.

    Because that's only a fraction.

Now your server needs to be told to parse the files as php and add a footer on-the-fly.

With you not knowing the intricates and us not having access to your server you won't get it up and running.

Ask some of those in the 'Pro Co-op Help List' and do a deal (links/money) if you want it up in a hurry.

I found it! my server is apache!

So - is it possible to get these ads up on my site?

Lol - maybe I can just drop a couple more files into my main_website_html folder and everything will work just fine?
My guess is not............ LOL! But I'd love to get this thing set up without too much trouble
