Hey guys…to be clear I will be referring to keywords, results and such..I am talking about Organic keywords, search terms and results. …how do I set up landing pages for organic searches? All of the keywords we have worked on, when typed into google, produce a link to our Home page. I noticed one of our competitors has many different landing pages and Google displays them for the corresponding keywords… Here is an example Google Baker Furniture You will see our website (Sheffield furniture) around 3rd or 4th and it is linking to our home page… You will then see a competitor (boyles) which links to a specific BAKER FURNITURE page.. We want to be able to do this so we can 1. Direct customers to more specific information. And 2. Be able to have more specific page titles..As you can see the boyles title says Baker Furniture at Boyles.. Does this have to do with the link structure? I see it is linking to boyls.com/bakerfurniture/ And then the web browser just automatically opens the “index.cfm†Is that the ticket? I do not understand this and I actually didn’t know that it will automatically open up the “index†if directed to a folder until I researched it abit recently Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!! Jon
Once you've created each individual page you'll want to add keywords, meta tags and other on site stuff for that keyword....like Oronson Bedroom Set. After that build some links with the anchor text being what you'd like to rank for. Make sense?
