How do I send a few thousand e-mails?

I have around 30,000 members on my website. I want to send them ALL an e-mail. How do I go about doing this? For free preferably.

 

Copy and paste the list into your outlook email.... j/k

I write my own application to do mail outs.... written in PHP and what it does is batch them up to only send 1000 at a time every 10 min or so.

 

if for free the way you can do is d/l free software for bulk email sending. be careful dont send it too many at once/ better to consult your hosting provider fisrt if you want to use their smtp.

 

If its Forum website then you can use Mass Mail option from your Admin Area.
Just one click & your work done.

 

There are free php mailing script on hotscript just install and send it. Be aware if these emails are not opt in emails then send in small packets like 5000 per day else your ISP will block your account for sure!

 

Free? How about spending few bucks on services like www.ymlp.com - if you have 30,000 members, certainly you'll recoup that small investment in no time?

 

You should use a professional autoresponder system hosted by professional company such as aweber, getresponse or emailaces to send your mass mailing out to all your 30,000 members instantly.

Do not attempt to send from your own web hosting server because you might get your web hosting account suspended if your are sending email messages exceeded their limit, if you are not sure, you should check with your web host provider to make sure what is your limit.

Now, each of the web host provider setting a limit on each domain daily mail sending limit to avoid SPAM issues.

Secondly, if you intend to send mass mailing from your desktop outlook express program, this idea is more worst than sending from your web server, because the limit for each ISP account are lesser than the web host provider, so just be careful when you decided to send mass mailing to a large list, you may lost your ISP in minutes if something wrong on your mailing issue.

And on some web host provider, they set a limit on the send mail limit which maybe 300 messages per day or 200 messages per hour, so when you send more than what they limit to, the rest of your messages will dropped from the server and your account is under monitoring.

Well, by now you must have a lot of ideas from the abobe mentioned people. All I want to say that you can take help of a reputed email service provider.Also see that you dont send a big lot of email addresses in one go.

 

or else you can use mailing list manager, this one is free http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/

 

I'd be tempted to sign up with one of the autoresponder/newsletter senders like aweber.com. You'll have to manually copy and paste all the names and email addresses into the software though. However you'll have them in the system and can automatically and/or manually email them when you want.

You can use a php mailer for it. Do expect it to take a long time considering it has to process 30000 emails :S

Use a ready made PHP script However, be sure to check with your host on any limits imposed - mass-mailing may be a bit dodgy (especially with 30,000 users!)

 

U can buy some software(mass mailer) which can send ur email to all in 1 shot.
