Okay, I have this blog which is about 6 months old and it is primarily focused on tech (gadgets, games, social media). As of the moment, its PR1 with 20+ posts in total. It has its domain (which is .com) and it has a great potential for monetization. Now I am thinking of selling it in the near future because I don't have the time to focus on it and it would be a waste if I would just dump it over. What I am concerned is I currently host the blog on my HostGator account and the domain is still registered on my Namecheap account. If I am to sell my blog, would I need to transfer the domain as well as the hosting to the new owner? That part is quite blurry for me that's why if anyone of you here could enlighten me as to how exactly am I going to 'sell' my blog, it would be much appreciated. Just feel free to post a reply if ever you need more info. p.s. - I am not going to sell my blog yet. I figured out that it would be better if I know the system first.
You don't have to sell your account. You just send the domain auth-id to the buyer and also a backup of your files and the database. Then the buyer will transfer the domain (to another domain registrar) and use your backup to restore the site on their webhost. Remember to change your passwords, e-mail and all information that you don't want anyone else to see.
You can sell your website on flippa. You just google flippa and you will to come to know that how can you use it.
