How do I sell a site that is on a subdomain?

I may want to sell a site and its traffic, but would like to keep the domain because I have other sites on it.
I've seen a similar site sale here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=27415 but that's for a $50 site. My site earns about $80 a month from Adsense, so I think its value is around high $xxx to low $x,xxx.
Is it acceptable to sell a site like this and how do I minimize risks for the buyer?

You'll have to zip it up and sell content only. Or you sell the right to host it on the existing subdomain for a while so they have some time to organise the transfer themselves. By then 301s can limit damage but it's never going to be a 1:1 transfer in terms of traffic and ranking.

    Tops,

I think he was wanting to sell the sub domain, and keep the subdomain hosted...Is that right?

Actually no, Tops was right :D. I was just wondering because I rarely see sites for sale that are on a subdomain.
Since I want to keep the main domain I obviously can't sell the subdomain, so a buyer would only be getting the site's content and a 301 redirect for the traffic.
I'm not too worried about the se rankings, it's still sandboxed by Google anyway although it does have good rankings in MSN and Yahoo.

    Thanks guys.
