How do i Sell a Domain?

I've had several domains up for sale for coming up to a year now, and have finally made my first sale. Whats the best way to go through with the sale?

At the moment, the payment will be done via PayPal (the buyers seems to be trust worthy), and as they don't have a hosting account i've firstly offered to provide hosting for them (just add their domain onto my current hosting account and give them an ftp account) and charge a small fee monthly for that,

or if they don't want that then the transfer will go through heartinternet.co.uk (they offer free domain transfers to them).

Do you recommend any changes to this?

 

well, he bought a domain, so you have to give him a domain. Meaning you can either push it to his account at the same registrar, or he pays a transfer fee at some other registrar and transfers it there.

If you agree you will host his site he has to point the domain (set DNS records for domain) to your hosts dns servers. And he probably should pay you some fee for that extra service.

 

I don't think he has a current host (why i offered to host it), but if he doesn't want me to host it who's best to transfer it to?
