How do I return a payment?

I recently got paid in advance for a job that I can no longer fulfil.

I got paid via paypal and was wondering how do I go about returning the money.

The money is still in my paypal account.

just search the help section and issue a refund. The information over there is better than you will find here.

 

click on details and near the bottom there is a link to issue a refund.
you have 60 days to issue a refund,after that you would have to "send money".
