Hi, I m designing a page ourshiaislam.com/nauhay and I have written the whole code for it. which works fine, when I wrote in dreamweaver. However the problem is that when I enter that code in wordpress, It adds some color effect(purple) and underline to the texts and which you click it becomes red. I m using Swift premium version and I have removed the a{color:#005fa1;text-decoration:none} and a:hover{color:#F00} from the stylsheet.css(as seen from Inspect Element) and also wrote more specific codes(so that no class matches with the themes code) however the effect is not going away. And also When you click on DOWNLOAD NOW button, it takes you back to the home page though I have embeded a different link there(which works when I run it speratly in my browser) I have also added a:hover, a:active, a:visited {color:none;} to the css but nothing is happening. You will need to add css style with ref to its classes. However you can still use something like this a:hover, a:active, a:visited {color:inherit !important;} or a, a:active, a:visited {color:#fff !important;} /*Change you color values*/ a:hover {color:#F90 !important;} /*change you color values*/ Overall - it will need lot of work to optimize the code 7 css styes. Play around a bit and you should be fine
Hey thanks for this quick reply, I added your code to my CSS and it removed the color(half problem solved) however the underline from the text is not going away and if you click anywhere on the box , it will take you to the home page (though I havn't added it yet). I m trying to figure out here but I would appretiate if you could just have a look at my page probably you might think of an idea ourshiaislam.com/nauhay/
to remove underline add something like this a:hover, a:active, a:visited {color:inherit !important; text-decoration:none !important}

You have to fine a piece of code as shown below and also remove just the </a> that is related to your homepage link.... which should be in sidebar.php as seen in the code.
